Describe yourself in concrete terms

Start with your relationship intentions, a few interests and what everyday life looks like for you. Specific details are more informative than a list of flattering adjectives. Describe an activity you enjoy or a value that matters in your own words.

Keep the introduction accurate and respectful. Use current photographs of yourself that you are entitled to share. Images used to illustrate a product page should not be mistaken for actual member profiles.

Share enough context while protecting private details

• Use the profile fields for the information you are comfortable sharing.
• Avoid publishing your precise home address, passwords or identity documents in an introduction.
• Read another person’s stated intentions before initiating a connection.
• Keep conversation and contact sharing within your own consent boundaries.

City, language and interests can provide useful context. They do not remove the need to get to know the person and respect their decisions about communication.
